In Japan, the fox has long been regarded as a deity presiding over the bounty of the five grains, so perhaps the mask was given the role of an icon that, by borrowing the fox's power, mediated prayers to nature.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis work aims to express, in a new form, the mask as a facet of Japanese culture that has been passed down for thousands of years. Rather than simply depicting a fox, it is adorned with studs to amplify the power inherent in the mask itself, visualizing that power and the prayers it embodies.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eKoga sees the present as an age of gekokujō, where the low overturns the high. He believes that even in an uncertain age, anyone with the will and resolve to forge their own path forward can rise, regardless of origin.
