Hiromine Nakamura
Embodying the unchanging prayers of people
"Come on," the catcher said, his eyes sharp and his mitt ready.
A colorful imperial doll that looks like a rugby player.
A pop and glittering sneaker named "FLOW".
Hiromine Nakamura takes on bold challenges and breathes new life into the world of tradition.
A young 4th generation born into a family of Hakata doll makers that has been around since the Meiji era.
Completed the master's program at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2011. He became an apprentice to his father, Nobutaka Nakamura.
What is the essence of a doll?
He replies that it is "a form of human prayer."
Please stay healthy. Be strong. Be beautiful. May you prosper.
military commanders and beauties. Kongorikishi, Kintaro, Hina dolls, and Momotaro dressed as a young samurai.
Since ancient times, people have entrusted their feelings for a loved one to dolls. Prayers have been delivered through the intervention of dolls.
He thought about having a son himself.
For example, if we were to embody the ``prayers'' and ``longings'' contained in the classic May dolls in the present era, what kind of hero would that image be?
The Gosho doll, which resembles an athlete, was born from his own deep prayers for his own child. Moreover, there is also a work in the series that is modeled after a friend's older brother, a para-athlete. This is because we believe that the definition of "healthy" should also be updated.
A humble attitude toward tradition and a free spirit as someone who lives in the present.Prayer is the beauty of mediating the proof that people are human.
Hiromine Nakamura's skills and imagination evolve day by day as he continues to explore the appropriate form.
