Playing with Marbles
DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
A work from the "Walking" series.
Walking = Movement
People are creatures drawn to bonfires, films, and things that move.
So, by adding legs to my own work, I bring out a sense of humanity and of being a living creature,
It was born through the creation of movement.
This piece plays with its orb freely, like a child given a ball.
The fabric parts were made by soaking actual cloth in liquid clay during production.
When fired at 1,180°C, the fabric itself burns away, and the clay that soaked into it renders this lifelike cloth.
Each piece is delivered in its own paulownia box.
As a dedicated box is ordered and made, please allow about one month from purchase until shipping.
We can also ship the piece alone first if you prefer — please contact us if interested.
