This work is themed around 'time.'

This piece captures the moment a fist sinks into a jar, distorting a character's cheek as it takes the blow — like a single frame of stop-motion animation, in which an object's form is changed bit by bit between shots. Its gradation of color expresses the continuous flow of time, moment by moment.

A work that attempts to fix, in near-permanence, a single instant of stopped time — passed through the "process" of drying and firing that is, itself, a form of "time."
