BABY

Thirteen years ago, prompted by a certain event, I came to create the "Baby" series, carrying the image of a ghost.
The “Baby” spoken of here refers to a fetus before birth.
Created upon noticing a shared quality between ghosts and unborn fetuses.
Wrapped in cloth and hide—an enigmatic, frightening, mysterious presence.
In this work, a face appears that was not present in the earlier series.
The Baby's face was found while traveling in Europe; a mold was taken from it, and
Remade in clay.
The part that looks like fabric was made by dipping actual cloth in liquid clay.
