DESCRIPTION
Thin plaster boards with corners cut at 45 degrees are laid out one by one in a regular pattern, then assembled tier by tier so that the space of a "sake cup" rises up.
Porcelain slip is poured into the space formed by the assembled plaster boards; once the mold is removed, the shape of the guinomi sake cup is complete.
This guinomi sake cup is built up rationally, based on the open form, one of the simplest shapes among vessels.
It is also conceived with a hard, architectural texture unlike the usual image of ceramics.
