Ero (from the "Desire" Tea Bowl Series)
DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
The Desire Tea Bowl series is, so to speak, self-portrait-like,
A work that lists, in text, the things I love.
The idea came to me while thinking about "self love" — self-love — and
What, exactly, is needed to love oneself?
One answer is to satisfy desire in moderation.
That desire is, simply, whatever each person loves,
Gathered together, they emerge as individuality, reflecting oneself.
“Ero,” of course, refers to sexual desire, and it's one of the things I love.
The form is an homage to the Shino tea bowl named “Unohanagaki,” designated a National Treasure, and
The atmosphere and sense of scale have been made similar.
Each piece is delivered in its own paulownia box.
As a dedicated box is ordered and made, please allow about 3 weeks from purchase until shipping.
We can also ship the piece alone first if you prefer — please contact us if interested.
