Among the parts of a tea bowl, the foot (kodai) is considered especially important.
The kodai is the circular form at the center of the underside of a vessel, and by convention its shape is not meant to be visible.
But isn't it fine to break that rule?
Just because it's a tea bowl doesn't mean it has to keep the same old-style foot.
Why not three legs, like a camera tripod?
