Bursting WAN

A tea-bowl-shaped object combining porcelain clay colored gray with stoneware clay colored pink.
Dissimilar materials that would not normally be combined are joined together, capturing in form the way the outer clay flakes away during firing in the kiln.
The pink stoneware clay is mixed with plenty of feldspar, so after firing, many white feldspar grains emerge on the surface.
