Raindrop

Selected work at the 66th Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition.
Painted ceramic sculpture "Uteki (Raindrop)." A charming doll like a bursting raindrop. The costume from the kyōgen play "Tōjin Sumō" is rendered in pure white, the head in the Jirōzaemon style, with a single touch of vermilion at the mouth.
