DESCRIPTION

A three-dimensional sculpture with motifs from both the artificial and the natural (such as a spear tip and a seashell), expressing the fragility of white porcelain alongside the strength of its form.
The form is built using the "plaster-board casting" method, in which four plaster boards are assembled tier by tier to create a space, into which porcelain slip is then poured.
No. 1, 2, and 3 repeat a form sharing the same 150 mm square and number of tiers, yet depending on how the mold was assembled and the clay adjusted, burrs remain where they entered the gaps between the plaster mold pieces,
Though each shares the same overall form, differing details give each piece its own distinct shape.

*The listed price includes domestic shipping.
*A wooden box with inscribed box-writing (hakogaki) is provided; the box is made after the sale is confirmed.
