DESCRIPTION

A three-dimensional sculpture with motifs from both the artificial and the natural (such as a spear tip and a seashell), expressing the fragility of white porcelain alongside the strength of its form.
The form is built using the "plaster-board casting" method, in which four plaster boards are assembled tier by tier to create a space, into which porcelain slip is then poured.
No. 1, 2, and 3 repeat the same form, sharing a common 150 mm square and the same number of tiers. However, the way the mold sections are assembled and the clay adjusted leaves flashing between the plaster mold joints, so each differs in its details — same form, yet each finished piece is distinct.

*The listed price includes domestic shipping.
*A wooden box with inscribed box-writing (hakogaki) is provided; the box is made after the sale is confirmed.
