A work indistinguishable as either a functional jar or a sculptural object. The gold and silver studs arranged radially across the entire piece exude a presence that seems to refuse anyone who would touch it.

These studs signify a force inherently latent within an object, made visible and tangible. The result is a powerful expression, as if the hidden strength within had burst out onto the surface.

Ceramics, a traditional craft nurtured over a long history. Koga intends, by introducing a stimulus in form, to give the person holding it a fresh sense of surprise.
