Since ancient times, it has been one of the Three Sacred Treasures, a vessel for the spirit connected to birth, the waxing and waning of the moon. Layering material brought by modern space exploration onto the magatama handed down since ancient times, this piece aims to symbolize the stirring of life, joining ancient prayer with a link to the future — hence the title "Kokon" (soul-binding). *Two types of glass made from lunar regolith simulant are used as colored glass.
