DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
Thin plaster boards with corners cut at 45 degrees are laid out one by one by feel, then assembled tier by tier so that the space of a "pouring vessel" rises up.
Porcelain slip is poured into the space formed by the assembled plaster boards; once the mold is removed, the outer form of the pouring vessel is complete.
This pouring vessel makes expressive use of its formal characteristics — among vessels, one of the more functionally rich — shaped by combining amorphous and spiral forms.
It is also conceived with a hard, architectural texture unlike the usual image of ceramics.
