Crimson Shino Tea Bowl

Fired slowly for five days in an anagama kiln, then cooled for a week before being taken out.
When Shino glaze is applied over an ohaguro (iron-oxide) coating, it produces a range of colors, from crimson to gray.
There is also much to appreciate, from its chewy, yuzu-peel-like texture to the rich character of hyakusode clay.
