KABUKU Hōhin (Handle-less Teapot)

Though we humans are but one part of all creation, we continue to believe science is all-powerful and to unilaterally exploit the richness of the natural world.
As a result, we are bound by the very chains of our own making, made to serve the irrational, and stripped of much of the freedom we should have enjoyed had we coexisted with nature.
For me, holding such thoughts, the act of creating is synonymous with "a struggle seeking liberation from meaningless servitude," and
The work is a cast of “my heart's cry, craving freedom.”
