Takahiro Koga's newly proposed "NEO WABI-SABI" fuses two opposing aesthetics: dynamic, dazzling design and the stillness and simplicity prized in Sen no Rikyū's culture of tea. He binds bold, powerful expression with a reversal of the tea-ceremony, Rikyū-esque way of thinking.
The long-awaited, entirely new work “Fukurou” (Owl) — a pun on “free from hardship,” “lucky son,” and “road of fortune” — has arrived.
The owl is symbolized worldwide as a good-luck charm, beginning with Minerva in Roman mythology.
The form maintains a delicate balance right at the edge between stylization and realism.
