Hoshine (Sound of Stars)

A group of works made by cutting into a cylindrical length of bamboo partway through and leaving part of it intact. The artist once had the experience of seeming to hear the sound of a shooting star under a sky full of stars. This series gives form to that image. Its title is Seiin (Sound of Stars).
