Imagine you were an astronaut living on the moon. Earth, as seen from the lunar surface, would appear more than three times larger than the moon we usually see. That blue Earth would surely become, like an oasis, a place where the human heart could rest. And its dazzling blue-white light would seem to envelop both you and the moon entirely. What this glass artwork reflects is a "homecoming" for the space age. *A lunar regolith simulant is used for the moon.

The moon never shows us its far side — we can only ever see the face of the "rabbit pounding mochi". Even to experts, the moon remains full of unknowns, utterly unfamiliar territory. This piece, in which a lunar surface seems to float within the glass, evokes the vestiges of another world seen only by Apollo astronauts. It was made based on the moon's actual topography. *A lunar regolith simulant is used on the moon's surface.
