This knife form was shaped in tataraslab and finished with cast katakana characters applied to the surface. The silver areas without katakana are finished in platinum. Feelings that cannot be put into words, thoughts and emotions with nowhere to go, are rendered in katakana — said to be the hardest Japanese script to read intuitively — expressing how such things accumulate on the objects around us.
