Miyashita creates a series in which he takes plaster casts of ready-made toys, then disassembles and reassembles them.
These pieces enjoy the interest of what comes together by chance, through a method that severs the original image or meaning of a thing and reconstitutes it into something else.

This work has the legs of a dinosaur, a smiling moon for its belly, and the upper body of a faceless boy. Which is the true self — the moon, or the boy…?
