Miyashita creates a series in which he takes plaster casts of ready-made toys, then disassembles and reassembles them.
These pieces enjoy the interest of what comes together by chance, through a method that severs the original image or meaning of a thing and reconstitutes it into something else.

This work depicts the scene of a genie being summoned and emerging from a jar in the dim light of dawn. The colors expressing that dawn are a subtly eerie, beautiful palette achievable only through glaze.
