Blue Plate

About 20 years have passed since returning to Japan,
In the meantime, various ideas welled up like water,
One after another, I have created and brought forth new works.
Looking back on those ideas now,
A quality I couldn't see at the time was hidden within it.
The dish-shaped part at the top of this piece is a form used in a 2004 solo exhibition.
I want to tell this to my past self.
