Ephemeral drawings made to preserve fleeting impressions and memories are softly fixed using lacquer, a material that embraces a long timeline.
I hope to convey the preciousness of being in the present by embracing the time that has passed.
The motif is a vine.
I think of the vines as being like drawings drawn in space.
The curves formed by both internal and external factors are layered with drawings that are a mixture of the conscious and unconscious.
