A concept born from the image of swallowing the cosmos into one's body. Imagine taking the universe whole into your own body. This piece forms a complete cosmic map, covering the extent of the known universe from the central planet, through galaxy clusters, into the depths of space. The surface shows a metallic blue gradient brought up by the reduction flame. Pour sake into the vessel and imagine taking the drifting, glowing universe into your own body.

In this work, the trace lines that appear when glass is layered and wound from the furnace can be seen running through it like lines.
The color is achieved by vaporizing and fusing a special metal — a technique that appears in nearly all of this artist's space-themed works.
