The Sake Cup That Swallows the Cosmos — Galaxy
DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
A concept born from imagining oneself swallowing the cosmos whole into one's own body. This piece is a gem in which a beautiful color, as if encircled by a blue nebula, and a shining galaxy come together. The surface shows a metallic gold-blue gradient brought up by the reduction flame. Pour in sake and enjoy the image of swallowing the cosmic space drifting inside the guinomi.

In this work, the trace lines that appear when glass is layered and wound from the furnace can be seen running through it like lines.
The color is achieved by vaporizing and fusing a special metal — a technique that appears in nearly all of this artist's space-themed works.
I hope you can enjoy this as both a phenomenon of glass and a phenomenon of the universe.
