It is said that Sen no Rikyu, a great master of wabi tea, whom Koga respects, used a black tea bowl to eliminate its presence and bring out the tea. Impressed by this, Koga decided to call it ``anti-wabi-sabi'' in order to make his work stand out. How can we visualize the power inherent in objects and express them as something that gives off an overwhelming presence?
One of Koga's answers was studs.
"I thought it was an interesting shape as the smallest unit of force. It's a shape that also affects sight, touch, and taste."
Touch the matcha bowl as if wrapping it with both hands.
In other words, it can be said that the effect of the studs is easier to feel than when you use one hand.
Koga's concept is "anti-wabi-sabi." Among them, the existence of ``Matcha bowl'' has a special meaning.
